ONLINE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings or via the individual website www.atlanticguesthouse.co.za.

When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with Atlantic Guest House, 28 MacCleland Circle, Knysna, 6571 (referred to in these terms and conditions as "Atlantic").

All rates featured on the Atlantic Website are offered subject to availability and Atlantic reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.

Pricing: All prices shown online are in ZAR Rand's per person per night (unless otherwise stated) based on 1 or 2 people sharing a room/suite for one or more consecutive night stays, except for certain periods where a minimum 3, 5 or 7 night stay may apply.

Prices are subject to change without notice. However, your price is guaranteed once you are given a confirmation number. For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges, which you may incur during your stay (including, by way of example only, in respect of your use of the bar and mini-bar facilities and the costs of external telephone calls from your room). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with Atlantic that you irrevocably authorize Atlantic to debit your credit or debit card (see 'Deposits and Pre-payments' below) for the amount of any shortfall.

All credit card transactions completed at the guest house will have an administration surcharge of 5% (five percent) added to the total bill for Visa, Master, Diners. This charge DOES NOT apply to DEBIT card transactions. Owing to the costs charged to us by credit card companies, we have no option but to implement this charge.

What the Price Includes: Website prices include single or double rooms/suites and/or self catering with colour DSTV, Mini Honesty Bar, Digital Safe, Hairdryer, Air-conditioning, Tea & Coffee facilities and Bathroom Gowns.

The prices shown online are not valid in conjunction with any other offer and, until you have received your confirmation number, are subject to change without prior notice.

Availability: Availability of rooms/suites at the rates shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods. During major sporting events, social events, conferences and exhibitions, the same rates may not be available.

Single Guests: Individual guests using a single room/suite (where available) are charged the standard per person rate and single supplement rate. When no single room is available, individual guests may book a double room and pay a single occupancy supplement, the supplement may be equivalent to the rate charged for a second person's stay.

Children: Children under the age of 5 can stay and eat free, when sharing with 2 paying adults on the same meal basis. Children staying in their own suite will be charged at the full rate.

Baby Sitting: Baby sitting services are provided as a chargeable extra. Where baby sitting services are available, 7 days' advance notice of your baby sitting requirements is required. For more information on availability and booking of our baby sitting services, please call Atlantic direct.

Pets: Atlantic does not accommodate pets.

Car Parking: Car parking is free.

Checking In and Out: Arrival and Departure. Rooms/Suites are available from 14.00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 10 noon on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the manager. These times may differ. Please ask for details of the arrival and departure times when making your booking.

Meal Arrangements: Those rates which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee. There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests.

Health, Leisure and Beauty: Atlantic have excellent leisure facilities (which are free for guests) such as swimming pool, sun deck chairs and jacuzzi. A charge will be made for the use of certain facilities such as beauty treatments, facials and other. Your use of such facilities is subject to particular terms and conditions. Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when using any leisure facilities.

Booking Information: Book on-line 24/7 at www.atlanticguesthouse.co.za. Our Reservations (+2744 382 4678 or +2782 786 0968) is available to take your booking 5 days a week from 7.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday. If you make a booking through Atlantic Reservations or on-line, you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/ credit card.

Deposits and Pre-Payments: A deposit or a pre payment of 50% will be required. You are required to guarantee your booking with a valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. Payment will be taken upon departure. In the event of cancellation payment will be taken in accordance with our cancellation terms. See "Cancellations and Amendments" below for details.

Balance of Monies Outstanding: Prior to your departure from Atlantic you will be required to settle your bill. On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid debit or credit card for Atlantic to take an imprint. If you are settling your account in cash, you will be asked for a cash deposit to cover the cost of your room for your stay (and any extras which you may incur in the guest house will not be chargeable to your room account). Atlantic Guest House accept all major credit cards, including Master Card,Visa and American Express.

Cancellations and Amendments: All cancellations must be made in accordance with our cancellation terms.In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. In the event of premature departure we may charge for the full original booking. The cancellation fee is calculated as a percentage of the full accommodation amount.

  • 0 – 14 days prior the arrival date, or no-show – visitor forfeits 100% of deposit paid.
  • 15 – 28 days prior the arrival date – visitor forfeits 80% of deposit paid or 20% of full quote value (whichever greater).
  • 29+ days days prior the arrival date – visitor forfeits 60% of deposit paid or 40% of full quote value (whichever greater).

Complaints or Comments: Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at Atlantic should captured on www.atlanticguesthouse.co.za

General Information: Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and Atlantic Guest House reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured at any time. Atlantic Guest House shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, water, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.
